February 14, 2026Reed Semiconductor Prevails as USPTO Upholds ’955 Patent Against MPS Challenge
Reed Semiconductor Corp. is proud to announce that on April 14, 2026, the United States Patent and Trademark Office denied a validity challenge to Reed’s U.S. Patent No. 7,960,955 that had been initiated by Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. Reed protects and values its intellectual property, and this Patent Office decision is an important confirmation of Reed’s ’955 Patent. Reed is presently asserting the ’955 Patent, which covers certain power management products including a linear regulator for stabilizing an input voltage, in a patent infringement lawsuit against Monolithic Power Systems pending in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
